Dear Friends, Supporters and Students,
As this year’s honoree, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the Epicurean Charitable Foundation’s (ECF) annual M.E.N.U.S. (Mentoring & Educating Nevada’s Upcoming Students) event on the 16th of September on the golden sandy beach of Mandalay Bay Beach. This memorable evening will showcase the creations of over 50 of the finest restaurants and beverage distributors in Las Vegas at an exclusive poolside dine, an exciting silent auction, live entertainment, and a posh VIP area. ECF students play a major role in every M.E.N.U.S. event, gaining hands-on experience with setup, execution and logistics.
My wife, Carol, and I have long been supporters of organizations that help the next generation achieve their goals. As a vintner committed to producing world-class wine, I am privileged to have been selected as the honoree for ECF, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of deserving local students passionate about a career in hospitality and culinary arts.
ECF believes that local and deserving students should have the means to pursue their dreams and become future leaders of the Las Vegas hospitality industry. ECF students are developed to succeed in their future employment with comprehensive work force development programs that provide university scholarships (tuition and books), unique one-on-one mentoring, networking opportunities, leadership guidance and etiquette development.
As the 2016 honoree, I know how much ECF’s signature dine-around event means to the students. Once again, thank you for your continued support. August 28 – Strikes for Scholarships
We invite you to enjoy South Point Hotel Casino & Spa’s “Wine of the Month” special and give back to ECF! This campaign continues after the success during March and April in which the Bedford Wines from Johnson Brothers campaign sold a record breaking 2,832 bottles. Indulge in July and Augusts’ hand-selected bottles distributed through Break Thru Beverage including Murphey-Goode’s 2014 California Chardonnay and 2013 California Pinot Noir, specially priced at $20 per bottle and $1 of each purchase will be donated to ECF.
